The winery is nestled among green olive trees and vines on a small hillside near the sea, just a stone's throw from the ancient and quaint Ligurian village of Cervo in the province of Imperia. It is a small winery that today produces about 40,000 bottles of wine.
Understanding and interpreting the land, the environment and the grape variety is the basis for making excellent, recognizable wines with personality. Wine must be an expression of the land and the people who work for it.
The uniqueness of the Ligurian land lies in the fact that although the region is located in the north of Italy, it has a very mild climate, especially in the Ponente area. This is due both to the protection from northern winds given by the Maritime Alps, which are close to 2,000 meters, and to the gentle mildness of the Ligurian Sea, which is a huge heat accumulator. Thus in just a few kilometers one can go from the cool heights of the hinterland to the warm beaches of the Riviera.
Cultivation in Liguria is very difficult, since flat areas are rare, but it has been made somewhat easier by the construction of "terraces" or "hillocks" by ancient Ligurian farmers.
Of this land, named worldwide for its beauty there is still much to be discovered and this is only possible through quality cultivation and the satisfaction of paying homage with its products, of which wine is the noblest fruit, to this pearl of the Bel Paese.
