3 Bicchieri Gambero Rosso

3 Bicchieri Gambero Rosso

Priwine sells wines from award-winning Italian wineries. We do not choose our wines according to our personal taste or by using the evaluations of our customers or found by surfing the web.

We choose our wineries among the ones that over the years have been able to conquer important awards, such as the two or three glasses awarded by Gambero Rosso's Guida ai Vini d'Italia.

Winning for one or more times the Gambero Rosso three glasses is a very important goal which gives us the guarantee that that winery is capable of making great wines. The quality of awarded wines also extends to the other wines of the same winery. In case a winery is capable of excelling on a wine, it means it has the competence, the technology, the experience and the passion to make excellent wines. It should also be noticed that many guides, such as Gambero Rosso, award a maximum of one wine per winery.

Tre Bicchieri Gambero Rosso

Participation in the selection of guides has a significant cost for small and medium wine producers such as the ones you can find on Priwine, and there are also more guides. If we think about Italian wine guides we have Gambero Rosso's Guide to the Wines of Italy, Guida Vitae by Assaciazione Italiana Sommelier, Daniele Cernilli's Essential Guide to the Wines of Italy just to mention some of the ones we often use. For this reason some wineries can be found only in some guides and not in others. Going back to Gambero Rosso's tre bicchieri, it is important to understand the numbers behind the selection of the winning wines. In the 2021 edition of the guide have been tasted more than 46 thousand wines, from Pantelleria to Ticino (which, although being in Switzerland, is reviewed in the Guide) with a total of 2645 wineries reviewed. In the 2021 edition as many as 24,638 wines will be evaluated. The final tastings - where 2300 wines were involved - gave the spectacular result of 467 wines awarded with the legendary Tre Bicchieri. With more than 1800 wines ranked very close to the winners, and in case of many wineries (only one wine per winery is awarded), they are worth as much as the one on the podium. In the 2021 edition, 4 priwineries were awarded the highest recognition:

  • Trento Dosaggio Zero Letrari Ris. ’14 – Letrari
  • Carignano del Sulcis 6 Mura Ris. ’17 – Cantina Giba
  • A. A. Val Venosta Riesling ’18 Falkenstein – Franz Pratzner
  • Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo Piè delle Vigne ’18 – Cataldi Madonna

In the previous years we cannot count the number of three glasses Gambero Rosso won by the wineries present on Priwine, the following list is for us the certainty of having chosen wineries capable of producing wines of very high quality level.
